Series about a woman whose family wants her to be prettier begins this summer
The wrap-around jacket band of the third compiled volume of Yuua Oda's Saito-san motto! manga announced on Thursday that Oda's earlier manga series, Furenaba Ochin, will get a live-action drama series adaptation. The series will begin this summer on NHK and BS Premium.
The story follows Natsu Kamijō, a married woman who lives for her family but is often told by her daughter to make herself prettier. Natsu's husband Yoshiyuki asks his subordinate Ryū, who's also an actor, to "tempt my wife a little" in hopes of getting her to act womanly.
Oda drew the manga for Shueisha's Monthly office YOU magazine. Shueisha published the 11th and final compiled volume in December 2014. Saito-san motto! is also running in Monthly office YOU.
