Hyrule Warriors Legends Medli DLC, Season Pass Announced

Nintendo to release 4 DLC packs for 3DS game this year

Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday that its Hyrule Warriors Legends Nintendo 3DS game will have a season pass option available for purchase. Purchasing the season pass entitles players to receive four new DLC packs in 2016, as well as a Ganondorf costume.

Nintendo is also releasing the new character Medli — who appeared in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Gamecube game — for both Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends for free. The character will be available alongside the first DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors Legends.

Video footage for Hyrule Warriors Legends starts at 22:42 in the below video.

The Hyrule Warriors Legends Nintendo 3DS game will feature all the characters from Hyrule Warriors, as well as most of Hyrule Warriors' DLC characters (with the exception of Ganon and Cucco). Hyrule Warriors Legends will also include Linkle; Skull Kid from Majora's Mask; Ganondorf (the 3DS version will feature him with a new trident weapon); and Tetra, Toon Link, and the King of Hyrule from The Wind Waker as playable characters. All the new characters can be added to the Wii U game from the 3DS game.

The game shipped in Japan on January 21. The game will ship on March 24 in Europe and on March 25 in North America. A limited edition of the game in Europe will include a compass. Those who purchase the game in N. America will get an original 3DS home menu theme for a limited time, and those who pre-order the game from GameStop will get a 16-page character art book.

Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U shipped in Japan in August 2014 and in the WEST. in September 2014.
