Ace Attorney Gets 3rd Stage Play in July

Takuma Wada, Akihiro Hayashi, Ryūko Isogai reprise roles for latest play

CAPCOM announced during a livestream event on Sunday that the Ace Attorney series will receive a third stage play adaptation titled Gyakuten Kenji (Turnabout Prosecutor) in July.

The cast so far includes:

Takuma Wada as Mitsurugi Reiji (Miles Edgeworth)

Akihiro Hayashi as Masashi Yahari (Larry Butz)

Ryūko Isogai as Keisuke Itonokogiri (Dick Gumshoe)

All three cast members will reprise their roles from the first and second stage plays. The first stage play premiered in 2013, and the second premiered last May.

The new play is based on Gyakuten Kenji (released in North America as Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth), the first game in a spinoff series that follows Phoenix Wright's rival Miles Edgeworth. The game is the fifth overall in the series. In the game's original story, players control Miles Edgeworth as he investigates five cases that relate to a smuggling ring.

Similarly, Miles Edgeworth will be the protagonist in the new stage play.

The play will run at Tokyo's Rikkōkai Hall from July 15-24. Members of the official website will be able to purchase tickets beginning on March 25.
