Pokémon Company Designer Eric Medalle Killed in Windstorm

The Pokémon Company Creative Design Director Eric Medalle (42) was killed in a windstorm on Sunday afternoon. A fir tree fell on his SUV at Seward Park in Seattle.
Medalle's toddler-aged daughter was in the back seat, and survived with only minor injuries. Medalle is also survived by his wife and another young daughter.
Medalle joined The Pokémon Company in 2003 and has worked on Pokémon HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, White, Black 2, White 2, X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, and other games. He designed the English logos for the Pokémon XY and Pokemon: Black and White! television anime, as well as a number for the Pokémon movies.
