ANIMATE stores now running promo video about "challengers to God" until March 31

The ANIMATE chain of anime character goods stores announced on Sunday that it is celebrating its 30th anniversary with Hand Shakers, an original anime project with animation studio GoHands, production company Frontier Works, and publisher Kadokawa.

The teaser text on the anime's website reads:

Osaka…

They, who receive the Revelation.
They, who challenge God.
They, who fight hand-to-hand again and again.

They are the Hand Shakers.

The English text in the website makes reference to Babel and Ziggurat:

They, the receivers of the Revelation of Babel. They, the challengers to God.
They, who inevitably throw themselves into battle with their partners. What does God want from them?
And did they want powers exceeding that of Gods? The chosen ones, their souls linked,
join hand and hand for the Ziggurat where the fighting shall ensue.

The three companies hosted an event for the new project on March 20 at 3:00 p.m. JST (2:00 a.m. EDT) in Osaka. The event screened the first promotional video, and ANIMATE retail stores throughout Japan are running the video from March 20 at 3:30 p.m. until March 31.
