This year's ninth issue of Akita Shoten's Young Champion magazine announced on Tuesday that a new Sengoku Basara manga spinoff series, titled Sengoku Basara Dokugan, will begin in the tenth issue on April 26. Yasuyuki Nekoi is drawing the manga with supervision from CAPCOM.

The story takes place in a new century in Japan, where Mogami Yoshiaki rules over a despotic government. A one-eyed man riding motorcycle appears.

CAPCOM first announced the series with two visuals last year:

The Sengoku Basara website updated on Tuesday with a third visual.

Motoki Yoshihara's Sengoku Basara 4 manga ended last October. Yoshihara also ended another manga based on Sengoku Basara 4 titled Sengoku Basara 4 - Bontenmaru-hen in August.

CAPCOM released the Sengoku Basara 4 PlayStation 3 action game in Japan in January 2014, and released a high-definition version of the game that celebrates the series' 10th anniversary titled Sengoku Basara 4 - Sumeragi on July 23 for the PlayStation 4. The franchise's newest game, Sengoku Basara: Sanada Yukimura-Den, a prequel about Sanada Yukimura, is slated for September.

The CAPCOM franchise has inspired three television anime series, one anime movie, a live-action series with two compilation films, and several stage plays.
