Kazuya Sasahara says project is "temporarily frozen"

Anime creator Kazuya Sasahara's (Cat Shit One: The Animated Series) Kickstarter campaign to create a virtual reality 3DCG-animated reboot of Dai - Shogun - Great Revolution ended on Friday after raising US$44,988 of its US$200,000 goal.

Sasahara had commented on Friday that the Kickstarter would be his last challenge, but after the campaign ended he posted the following comment on Kickstarter:

Unfortunately, Dai-Shogun on Kickstarter was unsuccessful. I am sorry, my power was not enough. I appreciate everyone's warm support very much.
The amounts you have pledged to us will not be collected, so please do not worry.
Dai-Shogun project lasted from 2008 will be temporarily frozen.
Thanks to Everyone for working with me.
The Best in The World!

The project aimed to create a one-minute 360-degree panorama VR movie that would be viewable on VR devices, PC, and smartphones. Sasahara had previously stated that his ultimate goal was to make a full-length theatrical film.
