posted on by Egan Loo
AIC returns to animate with ending theme by Serena Kōzuki

The official website for Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-yon-ki, the fourth "season" in the Tenchi Muyo! original video anime (OVA) projects, unveiled the staff, ending theme song's performer and title, Fall launch, and key visual by original character designer Masaki Kajishima.

As a key figure in the franchise, Kajishima is credited as the original creator and chief director, and Hidetoshi Takahashi is directing at the studio AIC. Kajishima's frequent collaborator Hideki Shirane is supervising and writing the series scripts. Takeshi Oda is adapting Kajishima's original character designs for animation. Yasunori Honda is the director of sound.

Serena Kōzuki is contributing the ending theme song "Shake the DiCE," and the song will go on sale on June 28.

The first OVA volume will go on sale this fall.

The main cast, returning from the Ai: Tenchi Muyo! project, includes:

The franchise launched with the first Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki project in 1992. Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-2-Ki (Second Season) OVA followed in 1994, and the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-3-Ki (Third Season) OVA launched in 2003. The seasons also inspired the 1993 Tenchi Muyo! Omatsuri Zenjitsu no Yoru! (Tenchi Muyo! The Night Before The Carnival) OVA, and 2005's Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-3-Ki Plus 1 (Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki: Final Confrontations).

Geneon Entertainment and later FUNimation Entertainment released Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki, Tenchi Muyo! The Night Before The Carnival, and Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-2-Ki on home video. Funimation also released Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-3-Ki and Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki: Final Confrontations.
