North America, Europe get different limited edition systems

Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe announced on Thursday that Capcom's Monster Hunter Generations (Monster Hunter X) Nintendo 3DS game will ship in the west on July 15.

In addition, both North America and Europe will get a special edition New Nintendo 3DS XL system that will ship on the same day. The system will be blue in North America and red in Europe. The game will be sold separately in North America but in Europe the game will be preinstalled on the system.

Those who play the game on a Nintendo 3DS with save game data from the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate game will receive in-game bonus content. In addition, Monster Hunter Generations will have a collaboration armor set inspired by Marth from the Fire Emblem series of games.

CAPCOM released Monster Hunter X (pronounced "Cross") in Japan last November.

The game features Shuryō Style (Hunting Style) movesets, which allow players to tailor their style of hunting to their preference. The game also contains 14 weapon types, each of which features a Kariwaza (Hunting Art), which can be high-damage moves or effects that boost players' capabilities.
