Amazon to Stream Baby Steps, Happy Marriage, Kamen Rider, Ultraman Shows Outside Japan

Japanese variety/documentary shows also planned for U.S., U.K., Germany, Australia

Amazon Japan announced plans on Wednesday to offer 12 new Japanese shows to subscribers of its Amazon Prime service in overseas markets. It specifically mentioned plans to distribute them in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia. In Japan, it will distribute the following shows on the following premiere dates:

Drama:

  • Live-action series adaptation of Maki Enjōji's Happy Marriage!? manga (June 22)
  • Live-action series adaptation of Hikaru Katsuki's Baby Steps manga (July 22)
  • Uchū no Shigoto, science-fiction situational comedy listed as Businessmen vs. Aliens in English (September)
  • MAGI - Tenshō Shōnen Shisetsu to Sekai Teikoku (Magi: Tensho-Era Youth Ambassadors and the World Empire, 2017)

Variety:

  • Uchimura Summers SECOND (currently streaming in Japan, streams worldwide in fall 2016)
  • HITOSHI MATSUMOTO presents Documental (fall 2016)
  • Sake to Sakana to Ishizuka Hidehiko (Sake, Fish, and Hidehiko Ishizuka, November 2016)

Documentary:

  • PRIME JAPAN Nihon no Kokoro ni Deau (streaming now)
  • RAKUEN Miyoshi Kazuyoshi to Meguru Rakuen no Tabi (June 30)
  • Invisible TOKYO (July 15)

Kids/Anime:

Amazon is currently streaming Wit Studio's Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress television anime series in both Japan and the United States.
