DAYS Soccer Anime Unveils Theme Songs, New Visual, July 2 Premiere

The official website for the television anime of Tsuyoshi Yasuda's soccer manga DAYS announced the theme songs and premiere date on Monday. The website also unveiled a new visual.
The anime will premiere on MBS on Sunday, July 3 at 2:58 a.m. and also air on Tokyo MX, BS11, and Animax.
The band HOWL BE QUIET (pictured below) will perform the opening theme song "Wake We Up." Takuto Yoshinaga, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Daisuke Namikawa, Daisuke Ono, and Mamoru Miyano will perform the ending theme song "Everlasting Days" as their characters. Both Single CDs will ship on August 3.

Kônosuke Uda (One Piece, Ginga e Kickoff!!, Majin Bone) is directing the anime at MAPPA (Terror in Resonance, Rage of Bahamut Genesis). Kazuto Nakazawa (El-Hazard: The Wanderers, The Legend of Black Heaven, Terror in Resonance) is designing the characters for animation, and Masafumi Mima (Macross Frontier, Infinite Stratos, Attack on Titan) is in charge of sound direction at Techno Sound. Yoshihiro Ike (Empire of Corpses, Cobra The Animation, Rage of Bahamut Genesis) is composing the music, and Pony Canyon is producing the music.
The manga centers on two boys who were never meant to meet: Tsukushi Tsukamoto, who has no special skills but secretly hides a passionate heart, and Jin Kazama, an isolated soccer genius. On a stormy night, the two meet, and that meeting creates a whirlwind in the world of high school soccer.
