Right Stuf is only offering Gundam: Reconguista in G on Blu-ray Disc. The release will contain all 26 episodes of the series, as well as clean (creditless) versions of the show's opening and ending sequences. The episodes will have the original Japanese audio with English and French subtitles.
Right Stuf describes Gundam: Reconguista in G:
The new era begins!
The turbulent era known as the Universal Century has ended. Now, mankind looks towards prosperity and peace in the new era known as the Regild Century (R.C.). One of the most important resources in this era is the Capital Tower - a space elevator which towers over the land connecting Earth to space. Its purpose, to transport the Photon Batteries the Earth relies on for power. It is worshiped as a holy place.
Tasked with protecting the tower, one day on a practice mission, young Capital Guard cadet, Bellri Zenam is attacked by a high-performance G-Self Mobile Suit. Despite having never before encountered the G-Self, he feels a strange connection to it and its pilot, a space pirate called Aida Surugan.
Little does Bellri know that he is about to uncover truths which will shake the entire Regild Century.
Gundam: Reconguista in G celebrated the Gundam franchise's 35th anniversary, and marked the first return of franchise creator Yoshiyuki Tomino as chief director of an original Gundam series since Turn A Gundam. After a theatrical premiere of the first three episodes in August 2014, the anime premiered on Japanese television in October 2014.
Right Stuf is offering Mobile Suit V Gundam on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc. Both the DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of the first volume will contain the first 26 episodes of the 51-episode series, as well as the clean (creditless) versions of the show's first opening and ending sequences, the end-of-episode promos, and the eyecatch animation.
Right Stuf describes Mobile Suit V Gundam:
After causing terrible pollution on Earth, humanity began to colonize space. In the current era, mankind has become fully adapted to life beyond its home planet. But just as on the surface of the Earth, humanity has begun to relive its history of war out in space...
It is the Universal Century, year 153. The Zanscare Empire, which rules almost all of Side 2, has declared its independence from the old government, the hollow and corrupt Earth Federation. Under the justification of creating a new, space-based order, it has begun an invasion of Earth; and Point Kasarelia, the illegal residence area in Eastern Europe where Üso Ewin and Shahkti Kareen live, is no exception. As they are caught in the fighting between Zanscare and the opposing resistance organization, the League Militaire, fate draws Üso and his friends into the midst of battle.
Üso wants with all his heart to protect those around him, so he becomes the pilot of the Victory Gundam. He's about to experience firsthand the absurd reality known as war...
The series premiered in Japan in 1993. In the Universal Century timeline launched by the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime, V Gundam is the last animated work chronologically. (Gundam: Reconguista in G is set in the Regild Century, long after the Universal Century). Tomino also directed V Gundam.
