MangaGamer announced at its panel at Otakon on Saturday that it will release six PC games: 3rdEye's Sorcery Jokers, Purple software's Hapymaher, St. Michael's' A Kiss for the Petals - The New Generation, liarsoft's Sona-nyl of the Violet Shadows, and Alicesoft's Rance VI and Rance 5D.
MangaGamer will release 3rdEye's Sorcery Jokers game in an all-ages version on Steam, and will release an adult version on its website. The company describes the game as follows:
If the world you knew changed overnight, would you be the same? With new powers suddenly at your fingertips, would you do what was right? Twelve years ago, when magic awakened in this world, many faced that question. Chaos reigned as crime waves surged and the government sought to control, shape, and harness this new power. Through their research, society gained Magitronics, powerful tools and conveniences powered by magic, and an Academy for the training of new Casters. Yet even now, others known as OutCasts refuse to bend to the government's control, using their powers as they wish. Which is the proper use of magic? Which faction would you agree with?
Explore this lengthy, battle-action story across six different perspectives, with new scenes and new opportunities opening up as you delve deeper into each character's life!
The game won the 2015 Moe Game Awards for scenario.
MangaGamer will also release liarsoft's Sona-nyl of the Violet Shadows game on Steam as is. Sona-nyl of the Violet Shadows is the predecessor to Gahkthun of the Golden Lighting-, which MangaGamer previously released on Steam. The game is the fifth in liarsoft's Steampunk Series.
St. Michael's' A Kiss for the Petals - The New Generation is a new game in the A Kiss For The Petals yuri franchise. Additionally, MangaGamer will release both Rance 5D and Rance VI as a single bundle this winter for US$34.95.
