Girlish Number Anime's Promo Video Reveals Staff, October 6 Premiere

Kenyuu Horiuchi joins cast for series about idol voice actresses

The official website for the television anime of Wataru Watari and QP:flapper's Girlish Number novel project began streaming a promotional video for the series on Saturday. The video reveals the show's October 6 premiere date.

The anime will premiere on TBS on October 6 at 2:28 a.m., and will then premiere on BS-TBS on October 8 and Sun TV on October 10.

The video's description also reveals that Kenyuu Horiuchi will play the company president in the series.

The story follows the lives of Chitose Karasuma, a college student who aspires to be an idol voice actress, and other young women in the industry.

Project GN is credited with the show's original work, Wataru Watari (My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected novel series author) is credited with the original plan and is handling the series composition, and QP:flapper is designing the original characters. Shota Ibata (episode director for Medaka Box, Kan Colle, The Mystic Archives of Dantalian) is directing the anime at diomedéa, and Sumie Kinoshita (The Mystic Archives of Dantalian, +Tic Elder Sister) is adapting QP:flapper's character designs for animation.

The March issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki G's Magazine launched the illustrated novel's serialization on January 30. Yūki Dōmoto launched a manga adaptation in Dengeki G's Comic's May issue on March 30. The first compiled volumes of both the novel and the manga went on sale in Japan on July 27.
