The official website for the idol unit AŌP announced on Friday that the group will perform the opening theme song "Ano ne, Kimi Dake ni" for the second season of the 12-Sai: Chiccha na Mune no Tokimeki (Age 12: A Little Heart-Pounding) television anime series. The series will premiere in October.

In addition to Age 12, AŌP has also performed the theme song for the Mr. Osomatsu anime. The group's highest ranking single, "Zenryoku Batankyū," served as the anime's second opening, and ranked #2 on Oricon's singles chart in February. AŌP also performed theme songs for Time Travel Girl, Ace of Diamond, and Insufficient Direction.

12-Sai: Chiccha na Mune no Tokimeki (Age 12: A Little Heart-Pounding) adapts Nao Maita's original manga, which begins with Hanabi, a sixth-grade girl who is neither an adult nor a child. The manga depicts a 12-year-old girl's innocent worries and first love.

The first 12-episode season aired from April to June. The new season will feature a new character named Inaba Mikami. Inaba is boy from a different school, but who goes to the same cram school as Yui. He is nice to girls and is popular with them, and is a friend to everybody.
