The staff of the PriPara franchise announced on Saturday that the the PriPara television anime series is getting a new idol team, and also revealed a visual for the musical that will have a new run next year. Additionally, the staff announced that the PriPara arcade game is getting a collaboration with Creamy Mami.

The new idol team debuting in the anime is called "Non Sugar," and it features Laala Manaka's younger sister Non Manaka (pictured center in image below). Non is a fourth-year elementary school student at PriPara Academy. The other members of Non Sugar include Chiri Tsukigawa (pictured left) and Pepper Taiyō (pictured right). Minami Tanaka voices Non, and Nichika Omori voices Chiri. Chiri previously appeared in the show's 90th episode, which aired in April. Pepper is a girl who was raised by lions in "Aprica's Sapannah." The staff have not yet revealed the voice for Pepper.

Live Musical "PriPara" Mi~nna ni Todoke! Prism Voice 2017, the new run of the Live Musical "PriPara" Mi~nna ni Todoke! Prism Voice musical, will run for eight performances at the Zepp Blue Theatre Roppongi in Tokyo from January 26-29. The first musical ran from February 4-7. The first musical had starred the anime's voice cast, and the cast will reprise their roles for the new musical run. SKE48 member Akane Takayanagi will also reprise her role as Meganee Aoi in the new run. The new run will also include new songs from the anime series.

Tetsu Taoshita is again directing the musical, and Fumi Tsubota is writing the script (Taoshita wrote the script for the first run).

The collaboration between the PriPara arcade game and the Magical Angel Creamy Mami television anime series will debut in October. The staff of the PriPara franchise had teased in July that the PriPara arcade game would be getting a collaboration with "that legendary anime idol." The collaboration will include a Mami stage and costume, a Mami costume for Laala, and a Laala costume for Mami.

The first anime series inspired by SynSophia's PriPara arcade game for girls premiered in July 2014. The franchise's first film, Gekijō-ban PriPara Mi~nna Atsumare! Prism Tours, premiered in March 2015, and the second TV anime season premiered in April 2015. The second anime film, Tobidasu PriPara ~Miina de Mezase! Idol Grand Prix (Spring Out PriPara ~Aim for the Top, Eeeeveryone! Idol Grand Prix), premiered in Japan in October 2015. The anime's third film, PriPara Mi~nna no Akogare Let's Go PriPari (PriPara Eeeeveryone's Longing Let's Go PriPari), premiered on March 12, and the third television anime season followed in April.

The story of the television anime revolves around Laala, an elementary school girl who wants to become an idol in PriPara, a sport that judges girls on their song, dance, and fashion. The invitation to the sport is through a PriPara ticket. Even though elementary school students at her school are not allowed to become PriPara idols, through many events, she passes the audition, and becomes an idol.
