Super Mario Maker Heads to 3DS on December 2

Nintendo announced during its live-streamed Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday that Super Mario Maker is in development for the Nintendo 3DS.
The 3DS version will allow players to make Super Mario courses with all same creation tools as the previous Wii U version, except the Mystery Mushroom costume tool. The 3DS version will also include 100 original Nintendo courses with medal challenges.
Players will be able to access Wii U courses online, but not all will be available. Players will not be able to search courses via ID, but they will still be able to access "Recommended Courses" and the "100 Mario Challenge."
Courses created on the 3DS version will not be shareable online. Instead, these courses will be shareable via local play and StreetPass. Players will also be able to collaborate on course creation by sharing incomplete courses via local wireless.
Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS will launch on December 2, 2016.
Nintendo released Super Mario Maker for the Wii U on September 11, 2015, and the game had sold more than one million copies by the end of the month.
