Mama is just a Fourth grade pupil also slated to debut on streaming service

Internet streaming service Daisuki announced on Friday that it has added the Nagasarete Airantou and Bottle Fairy anime for premium members in the United States. The website also revealed that the anime Mama is just a Fourth grade pupil (Mama wa Shougaku Yonensei) is "coming soon" for premium members.

The 26-episode Nagasarete Airantou series from 2007 adapts Takeshi Fujishiro's manga of the same name. The story follows Ikuto, who runs away from home after a fight with his father, boards a ship, and falls overboard. After many days adrift he ends up on Airantou, an island populated only by girls.

The 2003 Bottle Fairy anime has 13 12-minute episodes. The story follows four little fairies that live inside bottles on their Sensei's desk. Together, they have misadventures trying to understand the human world, seeking advice from the totally misinformed grade schooler next door.

Geneon Entertainment previously released the series on DVD in 2005 and 2006. Geneon also released an image album CD.

Mama is just a Fourth grade pupil premiered in Japan in 1992 and won the 1993 Seiun Awards for Best Media of the Year. The series ran for 51 episodes.

The series follows Natsumi Mizuki, a fourth-grader who meets a baby named Mirai, the child of her future self. With Natsumi's parents abroad and her aunt Izumi busy with her manga career, Natsumi must look after Mirai herself with the help of baby-care gadgets from the future.

Daisuki's premium streaming service launched this summer. Daisuki is part of a joint venture between Asatsu-DK Inc., Bandai Namco Holdings and its Sunrise anime production company, Aniplex, Kodansha, Shueisha, Shogakukan, Kadokawa, Bushiroad Inc., Good Smile Company, and Toei Animation.
