The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. 3DS Game's Ad Previews Saiki's Powers

Game ships on November 10

The official website for Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan: Shijō Psi Dai no Psi Nan!?, Bandai Namco Entertainment's Nintendo 3DS game based on Shūichi Asō's Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan manga, began streaming a commercial on Tuesday. The video previews Saiki's in-game powers.

The game will ship on November 10 in Japan. First printings of the game include a download code to play as a female version of Kusuo Saiki ("Kusuko Saiki"), a 3DS menu theme, and a 3DS minigame titled Teruhashi Kokomi no Psi Nan: Ippai Offu (Lots of "Oh"s).

On the game's official website, the staff is taking suggestions from fans regarding what they would do if they had Saiki's powers. The winners will have their nicknames listed in the game's staff credits.

The manga is inspiring an anime series that started airing within the Oha-Suta ("Good Morning Star") program on July 4. The anime airs five episodes each week inside that program, and then a late-night broadcast every Sunday collects those five episodes and airs them together.

Funimation is streaming the anime under the title The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., and it describes the series:

Kusuo Saiki is a typical 16-year-old high school student… except he has psychic powers. He can use them to get whatever he wants, but he also knows everything that people are thinking. Everything. No surprises, no secrets, no normal human experiences. He's kept his powers in check since childhood, but with the temptations of high school now on his mind, he's bending the rules—and spoons.

Asō launched the manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012 after drawing one-shot versions of the story in Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump Next! magazines in 2011. Shueisha published the 18th compiled volume of the manga in Japan on July 4.
