Singer Tomomi Itano Holds 1st Singapore Performance on October 8

Singaporean events and marketing agency SOZO announced on Friday that Tomomi Itano will hold a performance and fan meeting in Singapore for the first time on October 8 as part of the agency's Japan Music Festival platform.

The event will take place at the Millian Singapore at 8:00 p.m. on October 8. The event will have an early-bird ticket price of SG$78, and a normal event price of SG$88.

Itano was a founding member of award-winning J-pop band AKB48 until she left to go solo in 2013. She performed as part of AKB48 in the group's first 34 singles (including the first two independent singles of the group) from 2006 to 2013. She released her first solo single "Dear J" in 2011. She released her eighth and latest solo single, "HIDE & SEEK," on April 20. The single ranked #11 on Oricon's weekly single chart in its first week. As a solo artist, she has recorded several Japanese hit singles.

She starred in the 2009 Kamen Rider W live-action series as the character Queen alongside fellow AKB48 member Tomomi Kasai, who played the character Elizabeth. The name of their roles led to the name of their AKB48 sub-unit "Queen & Elizabeth."

Tomomi is also scheduled to appear as a guest at SOZO's Anime Festival Indonesia this month.
