Haikyu!! Season 3's 3rd Promo Video Previews Burnout Syndromes' Opening Theme

New season premieres on October 7

The official website for Haikyu!! Karasuno Kōkō VS Shiratorizawa Gakuen Kōkō (Haikyu!! Karasuno High vs Shiratorizawa Academy), the third Haikyu!! television anime season based on Haruichi Furudate's manga, began streaming the show's third promotional video on Sunday. The video previews Burnout Syndromes' opening theme song "Hikariare."

The anime will premiere on October 7 at 25:55 (effectively October 8 at 1:55 a.m.) on TBS, and it will also air on the MBS, CBC, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, HBC, TBC (Tohoku Broadcasting Co., Ltd.), and BS-TBS channels.

Additionally, Ryūsei Nakao will play Tanji Washijō, the coach of Shiratorizawa Academy.

The staff is returning from the first two seasons. Susumu Mitsunaka is again directing the series at Production I.G with assistant director Mariko Ishikawa. Taku Kishimoto is handling series composition and Takahiro Kishida is designing the characters. Yūko Yahiro is joining Takahiro Chiba as a chief animation director. Hiromi Kikuta is serving as sound director and Yuuki Hayashi and Asami Tachibana are composing the music. NICO TOUCHES THE WALLS is performing the ending theme song "Mashi Mashi."

The first anime season premiered in April 2014. The second season premiered in October 2015. Sentai Filmworks has licensed and released the first season on home video, and has also licensed the second season. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons as they aired.

The anime franchise also received two compilation anime films in July and September of last year.

Viz Media published the first volume of the original manga in North America on July 5.
