Cosplay Mania Streams Greeting Videos for Back-On, Starmarie

Both groups to perform at October 1-2 Manila convention alongside Shiena Nishizawa, Riho Iida

The Cosplay Mania convention began streaming two greeting videos from the groups Back-On and Starmarie last week. Both groups are performing in the convention as part of the convention's "I Love Anisong" collaboration with SOZO.

The four-member Back-On band has performed theme songs for anime such as Air Gear, Eyeshield 21, Fairy Tail, Gundam Build Fighters, and Gundam Build Fighters Try. The band has also performed songs for games, including Gundam Breaker, Gundam G Generation Frontier and Tales of the World Mythology 2. The band formed in 2002, and made their major debut in 2005, having since released 15 singles and five albums.

Starmarie formed in 2008, and currently consists of the members Nozomi Kishita, Shino Takamori, Monya Nakane, Hiroka Matsuzaki, and Kaede Watanabe. The group performed the song "Mekurumeku Yūki," the fourth ending theme song of the Cardfight!! Vanguard G TV anime. The song first appeared in the anime's 37th episode. Starmarie released their latest album, Fantasy World 3, in April 2014, and released their latest single, "Hime wa Rankiryū☆Goikkō-sama," on April 20. The song served as the opening theme song of the Onigiri anime, where Starmarie members Monya Nakane and Nozomi Kishita also debuted as voice actresses.

Anime Festival Asia applies the "I Love Anisong" brand to its anime song concerts that take place at its conventions. Artists and singers with songs featured in anime series or films usually headline the events, and the concerts typically take place on every night of the duration of the convention.

Cosplay Mania will take place on October 1-2 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay, Metro Manila. Aside from Back-On and Starmarie, the convention's staff previously announced Shiena Nishizawa and Riho Iida as musical guests.
