Aniplus HD to Simulcast Tōken Ranbu: Hanamaru, 4th Uta no Prince-sama Anime

Southeast Asian channel Aniplus HD announced on Sunday and Monday that it will air a simulcast of the Tōken Ranbu: Hanamaru and Uta no Prince-sama Maji LOVE Legend Star television anime.

The year is 2205. The "historical revisionists" have begun attacks on the past in their plot to change history. The Saniwa, who have been charged with protecting history, can imbue life into objects. Strongest among these are the Tōken Danshi. The story centers around their cheerful lives.

Aniplus HD will premiere the show on October 2 at 11:00 p.m. in Jakarta and Bangkok, and 12:00 a.m. in Singapore, at the same time as its Japanese premiere.

Takashi Naoya (Luck & Logic co-director, Selector Infected Wixoss animation director) is directing the series at Doga Kobo. Junichirō Taniguchi (Natsuyuki Rendezvous, Prison School) is designing the characters, and Pierre Sugiura (Barakamon) is writing and overseeing the scripts. Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Eden of the East, Ranma ½) is composing the music.

Mitsuhiro Ichiki and Toshiki Masuda perform the opening theme song "Hanamaru◎Hiyori!" (Hanamaru Weather). The anime will have a different ending theme song for each episode, performed by the show's cast.

DMM's Tōken Ranbu "sword personification training game" takes famous swords from Japanese history and interprets them as bishōnen. Nitroplus designed the characters and scenario. The game launched in Japan last year, and it has more than 1.5 million registered users. The game has acquired a large female fanbase and inspired a wide range of merchandise, as well as several manga and stage productions.

Aniplus HD describes the story of the Uta no Prince-sama Maji LOVE Legend Star anime:

Season 4 of Uta no Prince Sama series. The story continues where the third season left off, at the competition for who will open the Triple S international sporting event. Raging Entertainment's HEAVENS idol group had hijacked the competition between QUARTET NIGHT and STARISH, causing chaos. However, after the QUARTET NIGHT members suggest a certain idea, the three groups aim toward a new stage, with HEAVENS swearing to get their revenge on the other two groups.

Aniplus HD will premiere the show on October 2 at 12:00 a.m. in Jakarta and Bangkok, and 1:00 a.m. in Singapore, at the same time as its Japanese premiere.

Takeshi Furuta (Utano☆Princesama Revolutions storyboard and unit director, The Comic Artist and His Assistants director) is directing the fourth Uta no Prince Sama series at A-1 Pictures. Tomoko Konparu (Uta no Prince Sama previous three seasons) and Sayaka Konno are handling the series composition, Maki Fujioka (animation director for three previous seasons) is adapting Chinatsu Kurahana's original character designs for animation and serving as chief animation director, and Elements Garden is again composing the music.

Mamoru Miyano will perform the opening theme song "Tempest."

Aniplus HD previously simulcasted Utano☆Princesama Revolutions, the franchise's third season, as it aired in Japan. The anime premiered in April 2015.
