1st volume slated for October 19; manga began in 2011, ended in August

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced on Sunday that it has licensed Naoshi Komi's Nisekoi manga. The publisher will release the manga's first compiled book volume on October 19.

The manga is a romantic comedy that follows the story of high-schooler and yakuza family member Raku Ichijo, who is forced into a fake relationship with Chitoge Kirisaki, the daughter of a rival gang's boss, and they must pretend to be in love so as to prevent their rival families from fighting. While acting out their romance, Raku realizes that Chitoge has a mysterious key from her past, which she can't remember, and he has a pendant that can only be unlocked by his childhood sweetheart. To complicate matters, two more girls with keys also appear.

Komi drew the original "Nisekoi" one-shot manga in Shueisha's Jump Next! magazine in early 2011, and turned it into a manga series in November of the same year. Komi ended the manga on August 8. Shueisha shipped the manga's 24th compiled book volume on August 4, and will ship the 25th and final volume on October 4. Viz Media's English version of Weekly Shonen Jump serialized chapters of the manga in English.

The series inspired two television anime seasons. The anime's first season premiered in Japan in January 2014 with 20 episodes. The 12-episode second season premiered in Japan in April 2015. Animax Asia aired the first season of the anime from May 9 until June 2, and aired the second season on June 9 until July 14.
