3rd compiled book volume of manga from Gunslinger Girl author ships in late November

This year's 47th issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine is announcing on Monday that Yu Aida's 1518! (pronounced Ichi Go Ichi Hachi) manga is going on hiatus until next spring. The manga's third compiled book volume will ship in Japan in late November.

Aida launched the manga in Big Comic Spirits in August 2014, and the manga went on hiatus from July 2015 to October 2015. The manga went on hiatus again in November 2015 and resumed in the magazine's 29th issue in June.

The manga's story centers around Sachi Maruyama, a girl who has just entered high school. In her new school, she finds that no club activities really interest her, so she is invited by an upperclassman from her middle school — now the student council president of her high school — to help with student council activities. There, she finds Karasuya, a boy she had met three years ago on a baseball field.

Aida ended his Gunslinger Girl manga in September 2012. The manga inspired two anime series and an original video anime. ADV released part of the manga in North America, and then Seven Seas re-released the entire series in omnibus form in 2011-2013.
