This year's 46th issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine revealed on October 13 that manga creator Sayori Ochiai (Gingitsune) will end her Hoiku no Ō-sama (Day Care King) manga in the magazine's next issue, which Kodansha published on Thursday. The manga's fifth volume is slated for Friday, while the sixth and final volume is slated for January.
The story follows Iku Fukuda, who likes working with kids, so he gets a job at a day care center. When he realizes there's a gap between his expectations and reality, he quits after two months. But Fukuda doesn't give up on his love of working with kids.
Ochiai launched the manga in Morning in July 2015. Kodansha published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on July 22.
Ochiai launched the Gingitsune manga in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in 2009, and Shueisha published the 12th compiled volume in June 2015.
The series inspired a television anime adaptation titled Gingitsune: Messenger Fox of the Gods that premiered in October 2013. Crunchyroll streamed the series in North America and Sentai Filmworks released the series on home video in March 2015.
