Series about housewife who becomes fashion model after discovering husband's affair launched in 2009

This year's December issue of Kodansha's Kiss magazine announced on Tuesday that Yukari Koyama will end her Bara-Iro no Seisen (The Rose-Colored Holy War) women's manga in the magazine's next issue, which Kodansha will publish on November 25.

The manga's story centers on Makoto, a diligent 30-year-old housewife who discovers that her husband Atsushi is having an affair. Summoning up her pride, she resolves to become a fashion model in an effort to reclaim her the sense of beauty that she thinks she has lost.

Koyama launched the manga in Kiss in 2009. Kodansha published the manga's 19th compiled book volume on August 12. The manga inspired a live-action television series in 2011 starring Kazue Fukiishi, Jun Kaname, Mari Natsuki, Jun Inoue, and Konomi Watanabe.
