Inti Creates Reveals Blaster Master Zero Nintendo 3DS Game

Game recreates Sunsoft's 1988 Blaster Master NES game

Inti Creates revealed at its 20th Anniversary Fan Festa event on Saturday that it is developing a Blaster Master Zero Nintendo 3DS game. Inti Creates plans to release the game digitally on the Nintendo e-Shop in spring 2017.

Inti Creates acquired the rights to the original Blaster Master game by Sunsoft. Sunsoft released the game on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1988.

Inti Creates said that it is using the original Blaster Master game as a base, and plans to create "a fully 8-bit experience in a way that both hearkens back to the golden age of the NES and uses the current generation hardware to optimize and power up the game for the players of today." The game will include new areas, new bosses, extra sub-weapons, refined and expanded exploration mechanics, a stronger scenario, and improved gameplay when battling outside the SOPHIA 3rd tank, among other improvements.

Inti Creates has launched an English website for the game, and has also revealed several screenshots (pictured below).
