This year's 50th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing more information on Monday about the upcoming arc of the Naruto Shippūden anime that will adapt three epilogue novels in the Naruto franchise.
The anime will first adapt Shin Towasa's Naruto: Sasuke's Story - Sunrise novel, and then will adapt Takashi Yano's Naruto: Shikamaru's Story novel. Lastly, the anime will adapt Shō Hinata's Naruto: Konoha Hiden - Shūgen Biyori novel.
The anime is currently in an anime-original "Boyhood" arc that has focused on the pasts of two characters in each episode. Episode 483 will air on Thursday, and will focus on Jiraiya and Kakashi. The anime will then not air on November 17 and November 24 due to special programming, and will return on December 1. The anime adaptation of the three novels was previously slated to launch this winter.
Viz Media has published Naruto: Kakashi's Story, Naruto: Shikamaru's Story, and Naruto: Sakura's Story, and will publish Naruto: Sasuke's Story - Sunrise next spring.
