Music magazine launched in 1994, covered digital music, software, Vocaloid

Tokushima Jōhō Kikaku's DTM Magazine music magazine announced in its December issue on Tuesday that it has ceased publication. The December issue (seen right) is the magazine's last issue after 22 years of publication. The staff will continue to publish new content on the magazine's YouTube channel.

DTM Magazine launched in 1994, with the acronym standing for "Desktop Music." The magazine specialized in covering electronic instruments and digital music, as well as digital music-related software. The magazine also covered topics relating to Vocaloid software such as Hatsune Miku.

The magazine's November 2007 issue had famously sold out after only three days. The issue ran a special feature on the then-new Hatsune Miku Vocaloid software, and also contained a demo disc for the software. Hatsune Miku debuted just two months before the issue went on sale.
