Pioneer Films to Open Shinkai's 'your name. Film in Philippines in December

Philippine film distributor Pioneer Films announced last Saturday that it will open Makoto Shinkai's your name. (Kimi no Na wa.) anime film in December.
As of November 7, 77 days after the film opened in Japan, your name. has earned 17.97 billion yen (about US$172 million). The film has been submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature Film category for the 89th Academy Awards.
The film has now surpassed the eighth highest-grossing film (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets at 17.3 billion yen) and the seventh highest-grossing film (Bayside Shakedown 2 at 17.35 billion yen) to become the seventh highest-grossing film of all time in Japan. The film is also the fourth highest-grossing Japanese film in Japan, and the fourth highest-grossing anime film in Japan.

One day, Mitsuha has a dream where she is a young man. Taki also has a dream where he is a female high school student in a town in the mountains that he has never been to.
