Studio DEEN animates Yuuri Eda's light novels for April premiere

The official website for the television anime of Yuuri Eda's Kabukibu! light novel series revealed the anime's staff and April premiere window on Tuesday. The four-creator group CLAMP is drawing the original character designs, and the website presented a visual drawn by CLAMP:

The anime will premiere in April on the TBS and BS-TBS channels. Kazuhiro Yoneda (Yona of the Dawn, Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara.) is directing the anime at Studio DEEN. Yoshiko Nakamura (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Hiiro no Kakera - The Tamayori Princess Saga) is in charge of the series scripts, and Majiro (Barakamon, Macross Delta, Ongaku Shōjo) is adapting CLAMP's designs for animation.

The series revolves around Kurogo Kurusu, a high school student who loves kabuki so much that it's annoying. Kurogo yearns to perform kabuki as part of a club at his school, but currently his school doesn't have a kabuki club. So Kurogo sets out to create a kabuki club, and his first order of business is to gather members. Kadokawa will publish the novel's fifth volume on November 25.
