Persona 5 English Trailers Introduce Supporting Characters

Digital pre-orders available now with bonuses for game shipping on April 4

Atlus USA began streaming three trailers introducing supporting Confidant characters for its upcoming Persona 5 game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on Monday. Players can develop bonds with these Confidants in order to unlock skill bonuses and special services.

Atlus USA is releasing Persona 5 in the West on April 4, 2017, delayed from its previous February 14 release date. However, the company will now offer the Japanese voice track as a free DLC, contrary to the original plan to release the game without a dual-language option.

The digital version of the game is available for pre-order now, and those who pre-order the game get a dynamic theme and three avatars. Digital pre-orders also include the "Izanagi & Izanagi Picaro Set" DLC bonus.

The latest entry in the Persona role-playing game series shipped for the PS4 and PS3 in Japan on September 15.

Atlus will offer the American release in a "Take Your Heart" Premium Edition that includes a soundtrack CD, a Morgana plush, a hardcover art book, a steelbook, and a school bag. The game will also be available in a SteelBook Edition.

The game features animation sequences from the Production I.G studio.

The Persona 5 the Animation -The Day Breakers- television anime special aired on September 3. The special recounts the prologue story of the young thief organization at the center of the game. Crunchyroll streamed the television special, and Aniplex of America will release it on an import Blu-ray Disc of the Collector's Edition on February 14.
