Swimy Performs New Naruto Shippūden Ending Theme

4-member rock band previously performed ending theme for 4th Gintama anime

TV Tokyo's official website for the Naruto Shippūden anime series announced on Monday that Swimy will perform the anime's new ending theme song "Zetsuzetsu." The theme song will debut in the anime in January. The band wrote the song specifically for the show, and vocalist and guitarist Takumi is a fan of the series.

Swimy previously performed the fifth ending theme song "Acchi Muite" for the fourth Gintama television anime series. The four-person rock band with mixed male and female vocals formed in 2011.

Ayumikurikamaki is performing the anime's current ending theme song "Tabidachi no Uta." Anly is performing the current opening theme song "Kara no Kokoro."

Naruto Shippuden began its arc adapting three epilogue novels in the Naruto franchise on Thursday. The first part, which adapts Shin Towasa's Naruto: Sasuke's Story - Sunrise, will continue into this month. The second part, which will adapt Takashi Yano's Naruto: Shikamaru's Story novel, will premiere in January. The third part, which will adapt Shō Hinata's Naruto - Konoha Hiden: Shūgen Biyori novel, will premiere in February.
