Hōgu Sōji to illustrate manga beginning in February

The first 2017 issue of Kodansha's Shōnen Magazine R announced on Tuesday that Trinity Seven author Kenji Saitō will begin a new manga series titled Mugen Sekai no Amadeus (Amadeus of the Infinite World) in the next issue on February 20. Saito is writing the story and Hōgu Sōji is drawing the manga.

The manga's story takes place in a world that is gradually decaying because of the approach of an "evil god" from another dimension. Seishirō Shikizaki meets Ajisai Misaki at a party before school starts, and the meeting feels predestined. The tagline in the magazine reads "Under the cherry blossoms, a 'hero', 'evil god', and 'weapon' meet."

The manga will adorn the front cover and have a color opening page.

Saito and artist Akinari Nao's ongoing Trinity Seven manga launched in Monthly Dragon Age in 2011. Kadokawa published the manga's 15th compiled book volume in Japan on August 9. Yen Press is publishing the original manga in English, and it shipped the seventh volume on November 22. Sutarō Hanao's Trinity Seven: Levi Ninden spinoff manga ran from November 2015 to December 2016.

The original manga received a 12-episode television anime adaptation, which premiered in Japan in October 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired. The manga is also inspiring an anime film, which will open in Japan on February 25.
