Hisaya Nakajo's chapter centers on Sano and Nakatsu

The February 2017 issue of Hakusensha's Bessatsu Hana to Yume magazine announced on Monday that Hisaya Nakajo will publish a special chapter of her Hana-Kimi (Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e) manga in the next issue on January 26. The current issue teases that "Sano and Nakatsu go out together...!?" in the chapter's story. Both the special chapter and Nakajo's Momo mo motto! manga will feature on the upcoming issue's cover.

Smartphone app developer Voltage is developing an iOS and Android smartphone game adaptation titled Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e ~Boys love you~. Preregistration for the game opened earlier this month.

The manga ran in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine beginning in 1996, and Hakusensha published 23 compiled volumes. Nakajo ran a short continuation of the Hana-Kimi manga in 2011, and published a special chapter in 2014. Viz Media published the Hana-Kimi manga in North America.

The series inspired a 2007 live-action television series and a second live-action series starring AKB48 idol group member Atsuko Maeda in 2011. Besides the two Japanese live-action television series, the manga also inspired a live-action television version in South Korea and a 2006 live-action television version in Taiwan.
