Yuki Yuna is a Hero Manga Resumes From Hiatus

Manga went on hiatus in September 2015 due to author's health

Next year's February issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki G's Comic magazine announced on Thursday that Tōko Kanno's manga adaptation of the Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) anime will resume in the March issue, which ships on January 30, 2017. The manga originally went on hiatus in September 2015 due to the author's health.

The manga's first compiled volume shipped on November 27, 2014. Kanno later launched the serialized manga in Dengeki G's Comic in December 2014. The second and most recent compiled volume shipped in September 2015.

The story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she's also a member of the "Hero Club," where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called "Vertex."

The 12-episode anime series premiered in October 2014, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Ponycan USA released the anime in three Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo packs in North America in 2015.

The anime will get a second season in 2017, titled Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Yūsha no Shō (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Hero Chapter). The anime will be a sequel the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero television anime. It will also adapt author Takahiro and illustrator BUNBUN's illustrated novel series Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru (Washio Sumi is a Hero), which launched in the June issue of Dengeki G's Magazine in 2014.
