King of Fighters: World Smartphone Game Announced

iOS/Android MMORPG to launch first in China this summer
The SNK Group announced with a video on Monday that a smartphone game titled The King of Fighters: World is in development for iOS and Android devices. The game is slated to launch first in China this summer, with other territories to follow.
The game is billed as the first massive multiplayer online RPG for the King of Fighters game series. It will feature popular characters from the series in 3DCG, and will tell a story through battles and puzzles.
SNK Playmore released the most recent game in the franchise, The King of Fighters XIV for PlayStation 4, on August 25 in Japan and partnered with Atlus USA to release the game in the Americas on August 23.
