JO☆STARS, Daisuke Hasegawa perform in 1st U.S. JoJo concert

Arizona anime convention Saboten Con announced on Monday that it will host JO☆STARS and Daisuke Hasegawa as musical guests. Both are scheduled to perform at the convention, marking the first JoJo's Bizarre Adventure concert to be held in the United States.

Musical trio JO☆STARS features the performers of the first three openings to the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series: Hiroaki "Tommy" Tominaga (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood), Coda/Kazusou Oda (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency), and Jin Hashimoto (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders). Together, the group performed the opening theme song to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Egypt Arc.

Daisuke Hasegawa (Gundam: Reconguista in G) is a singer-songwriter and composer who collaborated with jazz vocalist Karen Aoki on "Great Days," the third opening theme song for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable.

Hasegawa's debut single was the ending theme song for Gundam: Reconguista in G, and he has also performed music for the ClassicaLoid and Ajin soundtracks.

The annual convention will be held at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix from September 1 to September 4. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the convention.
