New season premieres April 8

This year's 14th issue of Shogakukan's Shonen Sunday magazine is revealing on Wednesday that rock band Yoru no Honki Dance is performing the opening theme song "Shiny" for the third television anime season inspired by Rumiko Takahashi's RIN-NE (Kyōkai no Rinne) manga.

The new anime season will premiere on NHK-E TV on April 8. New episodes will air every Saturday at 5:35 p.m.

The additional cast for the new season includes:

Miyuki Sawashiro as Anematsuri Annette Hitomi

Megumi Hayashibara as Otome Rokudō

The RIN-NE 2 television anime series premiered in Japan last April. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for home video.

The anime's first 25-episode season premiered in April 2015. Crunchyroll also streamed the series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in two sets in July and September.

Takahashi launched the manga in Shonen Sunday in 2009 after ending her long-running series Inuyasha in the same magazine. The RIN-NE manga's 34th compiled book volume shipped in Japan on December 16. Viz Media is releasing the manga in English, and it released the 22nd compiled volume in November.
