The staff of the live-action film adaptation of Takana Yukue's Chotto Mate Yakyūbu - Kenritsu Shingen Kōkō Yakyūbu no Nichijō (Wait a Second Baseball Club: Shingen Prefectural High School Baseball Club's Everyday Life) baseball manga revealed more cast members for the film on Saturday.
The cast includes (from left to right):
- Yūta Koseki as Kōhei Akimoto
- Kenta Suga as Hiroki Ōbori
- Ryōsuke Yamamoto as Natsuki Miyata
Tadaaki Hōrai (live-action Kodoku no Gourmet seasons 1-3) is directing the film.
The comedy manga centers on three first-year players from Shingen Prefectural High School's baseball team, the most average high school baseball team in Japan, with no medals and no outstanding losses to speak of. The trio consists of the cheerful Ōbori, the foodie Akimoto, and the straight-arrow Miyata, as they try to balance their studies and sports.
Yukue launched the manga in gogo Bunch in April 2015. Shinchosha published the first compiled book volume for the manga last August.
Yukue's T-sensei manga is also inspiring an anime adaptation that will premiere on Production I.G 's "Tate Anime" (Vertical Anime) smartphone app this month.
