This year's combined 21st and 22nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that Miyuki Sawashiro (Durarara!!'s Celty, 2011 Hunter × Hunter 's Kurapika) will play the character Charlotte Pudding in the One Piece television anime series. Pudding is the 35th daughter of Big Mom, and she is Sanji's arranged fiancée.
The issue is also revealing that the episode that will air on April 30 will feature a song sung by Big Mom titled "Bloody Party." After the episode airs, music sites will begin distributing a short version of the song online. Original One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda coined the title of the song, and wrote the lyrics. Kōhei Tanaka, who composes the music for the television series and many of its specials and films, composed the song.
The issue lists Mami Koyama (Naruto Shippūden's Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, Dr. Slump's Arale) as the voice for Big Mom, although it doesn't specify if Koyama will be voicing Big Mom or only voicing the character's singing voice. Toshiko Fujita previously played the character Big Mom.
The combined issue is also revealing on Monday that Weekly Shonen Jump will host the sixth popularity poll for One Piece. The previous popularity poll took place three years ago, and Weekly Shonen Jump revealed the results in December 2014. The issue will feature a list of where various characters have ranked in the past five polls, and also a fold-out insert picturing the more than 600 characters featured in the series. The One Piece manga is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
