Anime Festival Asia announced on Tuesday that the Penang Anime Matsuri convention will host May'n, nano, DJ Kazu, kradness, and kz (from Livetune) as musical guests. The convention will take place at the Setia Spice Arena Level 2 in Penang, Malaysia on July 1-2.

May'n performed songs as the Macross Frontier anime's "Galactic Fairy" idol Sheryl Nome. Beyond her performances for Macross Frontier, May'n has performed theme songs for anime series including Accel World, Phi-Brain - Puzzle of God, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Inari Kon Kon, and M3 - Sono Kuroki Hagane. She performed the opening theme song for the television anime series Aquarion Logos with composer Yoko Kanno, and also performed the opening theme song for the Taboo Tattoo anime, and the ending theme song for the Izetta: The Last Witch anime. She most recently reprised her role as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome with the new song "Gooorgeous."

Nano was born in New York, and is a bilingual singer and musician. Nano has released eight singles and three albums since debuting in 2012. Nano's debut album, nanoir, ranked #10 on the Oricon weekly album charts. The singer's latest album, Rock On, ranked #6 on the Oricon weekly album charts in its first week in January 2015. Nano has performed theme songs for such anime as Phi-Brain - Puzzle of God: The Orpheus Order, Btooom!, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Magical Warfare, M3 the dark metal, and Aria the Scarlet Ammo Double A. Nano performed live in Taiwan in February, and is slated to go on tour in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Indonesia in August to September.

Nano's most recent two singles, "DREAMCATCHER" and "MY LIBERATION/PARAISO," have title songs that have been used in anime (Magical Girl Raising Project for "Dreamcatcher" and Chain Chronicle: The Light of Haecceitas for "My Liberation" and "Paraiso"). Both singles celebrate the artist's fifth anniversary. Nano's upcoming album The Crossing is also part of the fifth anniversary, and is slated for release on May 31.

DJ Kazu made his debut with Sony Music in 2008. He is known for his remixes of anime songs, and is the resident DJ of NHK's Shibuya Note program (previously known as MUSIC JAPAN before the name change in April 2016), a position he has filled for the last eight years. He has participated as a DJ in numerous music festivals in Japan, including Rock in Japan Festival, Animax Musix, NHK Anisong Special, and @JAM. His latest album, Ore no Love Song, shipped on February 8. J-Anisong Kamikyoku Matsuri, his series of albums featuring remixes of popular songs from anime, will get its latest installment (titled Parade) on April 27, with another album (titled Spark) on May 3.

kradness is an utaite (a term for singers who release cover songs on video sharing websites, typically on Nico Nico Video or Youtube) who debuted in 2011. He is known for his very high voice, as well as extensive autotuning. He has debuted as a model, and has his own "REMERA" fashion brand. He collaborates often with other utaite, composes for the unit Camellia, and serves as the vocalist for Quarks.

kz started the Livetune group with Kajuki P in 2007 using the Hatsune Miku singing synth software "Vocaloid 2." The duo uploaded their songs to Nico Nico Video. Kajuki P left the group in 2009. kz has collaborated, written, and composed for many artists since then, including Kotoko, ClariS, Maon Kurosaki, supercell, and T.M.Revolution. He composed the opening theme song "irony" for Oreimo, the opening theme song "Stand Up!" for Digimon Xros Wars: Toki o Kakeru Shōnen Hunter-tachi, the "FLAT" theme song for Hamatora, and the "Sen no Tsubasa" opening theme song for its sequel Re:␣Hamatora, as well as other songs for Devil Survivor 2 The Animation and Magica Wars.
