Yen Press Licenses Re:Zero EX Spinoff Novels

Volume 1 slated for November 14

Yen Press confirmed with ANN on Tuesday that it will release the Re:Zero Ex (Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Ex) spinoff light novels. The first volume is slated for November 14.

The first Re:Zero Ex novel spinoff of Tappei Nagatsuki's Re:Zero novel series focuses on Lugnica king candidate Crusch Karsten, her knight Ferris, and a boy who had a profound influence on their lives. That boy is Fourier, the fourth prince of Lugnica. The second Re:Zero Ex novel focuses on Wilhelm.

Nagatsuki launched the story in the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2012, and Kadokawa published the 12th novel in the series on March 25. The first volume of Re:Zero Ex shipped in Japan in June 2015 and the second shipped in January 2016. Yen Press is also publishing the original novel series and their manga adaptations.
