New Film Releases Scheduled in British Cinemas

Including Genocidal Organ and two films by Massaki Yuasa, Night is Short, Walk On Girl and Lu over the wall

According to the Twitter feeds of Otaku News and UK Anime Network, the following cinema films will be released in British cinemas by Anime Limited:

July 12 - Genocidal Organ, the final film in the Project Itoh project (a dark SF film based on the author's novel), pictured right.

August 16 - Napping Princess, a fantasy directed by Kenji Kamiyama, pictured left.

August 23 - IMAX screenings of Makoto Shinkai's Your Name, in Japanese with subtitles. There will also be dubbed and subtitled screenings of the film in regular cinemas.

September 20 - Night is Short, Walk on Girl, a romantic comedy directed by Masaaki Yuasa with connections to his series The Tatami Galaxy, pictured right.

October 31 - Perfect Blue, the classic 1997 psycho-horror film by Satoshi Kon.

December 6 - Lu Over the Wall, a fantasy directed by Masaaki Yuasa about a man who encounters a mermaid.

Unconfirmed 2017 date - Studio Shaft's anime version of Fireworks, Should We See it from the Side or the Bottom?, pictured left. Akiyuki Simbo (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Nisekoi) will be the film's chief director, although the actual director will be Nobuyuki Takeuchi (key animator on Spirited Away, Penguindrum, Bakemonogatari).
