Saori Ōnishi joins cast as Kuro

The official website of the television anime of Junpei Inuzuka's Isekai Shokudō (Restaurant to Another World) light novel series began streaming the anime's teaser video on Monday.

The site also revealed more cast members and the show's July 3 premiere date. The series will premiere on TV Tokyo on July 3 late at night at 1:35 a.m. (effectively on July 4), before airing on AT-X and BS Japan.

The site has also revealed that Saori Ōnishi will voice the character Kuro (pictured right in image below).

The anime stars Junichi Suwabe (Fate/stay night's Archer, Yuri!!! on Ice's Victor) as the restaurant's shopkeeper (pictured in background in image above), and Sumire Uesaka (KanColle's Fubuki, Chaos;Child's Serika) as Aletta (pictured left). Aletta is the daughter of a magical being who works at the restaurant one day a week. Kiyono Yasuno will voice the treasure hunter Sarah.

The original story centers on a restaurant called "Yōshoku no Nekoya" (Western Cuisine Cat Restaurant), which is located on the first basement floor of a building at a corner of a shopping district near an office area. While it normally feeds salarymen, there is a secret in Nekoya. Every Saturday when the shop takes a day off, Nekoya is teeming full of "special customers." For the office workers, it is a familiar place with familiar dishes, but for these Saturday customers — "people from that world" — it is nothing but cuisine never seen or heard before.

Masato Jinbo (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!, Chaos;Child) is directing the anime at Silver Link, and is also supervising the series' scripts. Takao Sano (Chitose Get You!!, Shomin Sample, Nurse Witch Komugi R) and Keiichi Sano (Heaven's Memo Pad, Strike the Blood, Absolute Duo) are adapting Katsumi Inami's original character designs for animation.

Singer May'n and the voice actress unit Wake Up, Girls! are collaborating on the opening theme song "One in a Billion" under the special collaboration unit "Wake Up, May'n!". Voice actress Kiyono Yasuno is contributing the ending theme song.
