Anime based on Strike Tanaka's manga premiered in Japan last July

Animax Asia announced on Thursday that it will begin airing the television anime adaptation of Strike Tanaka's Servamp manga on June 15. The anime will air two episodes on Mondays to Fridays at 6:30 p.m. GMT +8.

Animax Asia is streaming a commercial for the anime:

Animax Asia describes the anime:

Sixteen-year-old Mahiru Shirota lives a simple life and dislikes everything that is difficult but when he rescues a black cat named Kuro, his life suddenly becomes complicated.

Kuro turns out to be no ordinary feline but a Servamp – a servant vampire who happens to be in the middle of a sibling rivalry.

In an instant, Mahiru is tagged into a war among vampire brothers and pulled into a world completely unknown to him, realizing that his once simple life will never be simple again!

The anime premiered in Japan last July.

The anime production reunited the main staff and studio of the Aoharu x Machinegun anime. Itto Sara, who served in a supervisory position in Aoharu x Machinegun, served as chief director for Servamp. Hideaki Nakano directed the anime at Brains Base. Kenji Konuta was in charge of series composition, and Junko Yamanaka designed the characters for animation.

Tanaka launched the series in Monthly Comic Gene in 2011, and Kadokawa published the manga's 10th compiled book volume last July. The manga went on hiatus in January due to the author's health, but resumed in April. A "new project" is in the works for the anime.
