The staff of Anime Expo announced on Monday that the convention will host Bandai Namco Entertainment producers Yasuhiro Fukaya and Yusuke Tomizawa as guests. Both guests will participate in a panel, and will have autograph sessions.

Fukawa joined Namco in 1999 as an Assistant Game Planner. He worked on Tales of Destiny 2 as part of the QA team and later joined the series' production team. He was the producer for the recent Tales of Berseria game.

Tomizawa joined Bandai as a planner and developer in toys and figurines in 2003. He became a producer in the company's game division in 2007. He has been a producer on the Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise, THE IDOLM@STER MOVIE: Kagayaki no Mukōgawa e! anime film, and the God Eater franchise. He is currently working on Bandai Namco Entertainment's Code Vein PS4, Xbox One, and PC game.

In addition, merchandise distributor Bluefin announced that Bandai master modeler "Meijin" Kawaguchi will attend the convention for an industry panel and autograph signings. Kawaguchi will also be the special judge at the Bandai GunPla Builders World Cup, which Bluefin will host at the Anime Expo. Entries will be accepted at the Bluefin booth until Sunday, July 2 at 12:00 p.m.

In addition, visual novel publisher MangaGamer announced that Keika Hanada, Novectacle head and The House in Fate Morgana series writer and director, will be a guest at the convention. Hanada will appear at MangaGamer's industry panel on July 1 to answer questions.

This year's Anime Expo convention will run from July 1 to July 4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In addition, the convention will formally include a preview night a day before on June 30.
