Kaito × Ansa Puzzle-Solving Anime Adds New Cast, Brings Back Nazotokine Characters

The official Twitter account for the Kaito × Ansa "puzzle-solving" (nazo-toki) original television anime revealed four more cast members on Wednesday. Some of the cast members are returning from the Nazotokine anime.

The new cast members are:

Emi Nitta (Love Live!'s Honoka) as Hinata Takaragawa

Kenichi Suzumura (Free! Eternal Summer's Momotarō) as Yocchin

Natsuko Hara as Tokine Amino (returning from Nazotokine)

Sora Tokui as Hacchin (returning from Nazotokine)

The anime will premiere on July 12 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and Tochigi TV. The series will later air on BS-Fuji as part of the "Anime Guild" block, and on RNC.

The anime also stars:

Kazuki Katou (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!'s Kikyo, B-PROJECT's Kento Aizome) as Kaito Aen

Takahiro Sakurai (D.Gray-man's Yu Kanda, Code Geass' Suzaku) as Ansa Arishin

Daisuke Ono (Black Butler's Sebastian, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable's Jōtarō) as Yū Kuromu

Professional wrestler Genichirō Tenryū will also voice "an unknown character."

Naoya Fukushi (Nazotokine) is the original creator and director at Tengu Kobou. Kōhei Katō (Lost Days) is in charge of the series scripts. Hitomi Takano (Nazotokine), Yui Katō, and Erina Takayanagi are designing the characters. Satoshi Motoyama (Princess Tutu, From the New World) is the sound director. Asobi Factory is in charge of puzzle supervision, and Jun Peyon and Takanori Morita are in charge of puzzle design. 256 is performing the opening theme song "Hoshi no Kazu Dake" (Just the Number of Stars) and The rock band SuG (Fairy Tail, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!) is performing the ending theme song "Agaku."

Tokyo MX, Tengu Kobou, and Asobi Factory previously collaborated on the Nazotokine television anime, which was also described as a "puzzle-solving TV anime." Fukushi also created the original concept and directed Nazotokine. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
