C3 AFA Indonesia Hosts May'n as Musical Guest, Cancels Ami Wajima Performance

Convention takes place in Jakarta on August 18-20

The Anime Festival Asia convention announced on Tuesday that pop singer May'n will perform during the convention's C3 AFA Indonesia event as a musical guest.

In addition, the convention also announced on Tuesday that Ami Wajima has cancelled her performance at the C3 AFA Indonesia convention due to her reported poor physical health. The singer cancelled six of her scheduled performances for the year, including this one.

May'n performed songs as the Macross Frontier anime's "Galactic Fairy" idol Sheryl Nome. Beyond her performances for Macross Frontier, May'n has performed theme songs for anime series including Accel World, Phi-Brain - Puzzle of God, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Inari Kon Kon, and M3 - Sono Kuroki Hagane. She performed the opening theme song for the television anime series Aquarion Logos with composer Yoko Kanno, and also performed the opening theme song for the Taboo Tattoo anime, and the ending theme song for the Izetta: The Last Witch anime. She most recently reprised her role as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome with the new song "Gooorgeous," and collaborated with the Wake Up, Girls! group to perform the opening theme song for the Restaurant to Another World anime.

The convention is one of five in content company Sotsu Co., Ltd. and Singaporean events and marketing agency Sozo Pte. Ltd.'s "C3 AFA" joint events that bring together their C3 and Anime Festival Asia events. Aside from Jakarta, Indonesia, the events will also run in Thailand, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The event will take place at the Royal Paragon Hall at the JIEXPO in Jakarta, Indonesia on August 18 to 20. The music concert will take place over two nights on August 19 and 20. The musical guests include, Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets, Konomi Suzuki, kradness, Luna Haruna, Shiena Nishizawa, Tomohisa Sakō, and fhána. Voice actress Rike Abe will also attend.
